He has truly captured the hearts of the club’s supporters since joining in the summer of 2019, with some referring to him as “a legend”, “the perfect character” and a “geezer”.

That connection with those in the stands was earned when he came in for the Chelsea game, keeping a clean sheet to end a run of eight games without a win, before being unable to hide his emotions after the final whistle.
